“I cannot say this strongly enough: my emphatic opposition to a halakhic state is fueled by a passion love for Yiddishkeit, especially in its observant iteration. Halakha is far too precious to me to want it legislated and enforced by the state, with all the bargaining and compromise that politics inevitably entails. I do not want the Torah I love to become something from which other Jews feel compelled to flee. Protecting halakha from political power is, at this moment in Jewish history, one of the ways we protect halakha and preserve it.

The actual meaning of י-הוה אלהים !

THIS video makes a FALSE equivalency between a dispersed and repeatedly COLONISED minority people, Jews, with the colonial Islam religion. And, this video further fails to make this appropriate comparison between Orthodox/Fundamentalist colonial Christianity and colonial Islam.

Yes, there are a small minority of male Jewish rabbis that are influenced by dhimmi-ghetto life under Christian and Muslim inherently antisemitic social hegemony that try to enforce the ways of the Christian and Muslim colonisers upon their own communities, and this is an act of Indigenous survival. In the theology-based religions of colonial Christianity and colonial Islam, there is a doctrinal core that suppresses and hides women and gays in a Western patriarchal world of nations. A dualism-based “us” (male) majority versus “them”, a social privilege of misogyny, oppression, and social/familial abuse. This is FOREIGN to our Eastern Southwest Asian patriarchal social structures, which encourages the strong social representation of women and gender androgynous within our communities.

“Margalit Zinati is not Sephardic, Ashkenazi, nor Mizrahi. Her family has lived in the Galilee continuously for over 2,000 years. She comes from a family of Cohanim who left Jerusalem upon the destruction of the 2nd Temple and found safe haven in the town of Peki’in.

“Peki’in was a Jewish village since the time of the Temple and is mentioned extensively throughout the Mishna and Talmud. It is recorded that the influential Sage Rabbi Yehoshua and his many disciples set up their Yeshiva in Peki’in.

“The Jewish population of Peki’in saw a significant drop during the Crusader and Mamluk period. During the early Mamluk period documents show the growing presence of Druze in the village. But Jews continued living in the village throughout, the majority of which were Kohanim.

“Margalit Zinati’s family have been the caretakers of the ancient synagogue of Peki’in, believed to be the original site of Rabbi Yehoshua’s Talmudic yeshiva 2,000 years ago. She promised her father that she would keep this role upon his passing.

“The interior of the synagogue appears similar to other ancient synagogues in the Galilee. A large open space with “benches” built into the structure under the windows.

“Peki’in is also the site of the cave where Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his son hid from the Romans. A common tradition cites this is the site of the cave. Druze and Christians of Peki’in also hold to such a tradition. They called this cave “The Cave of Jacob’s Children”” – Shmuel ben Avraham

Margalit Zinati is the very last surving family member of the 2,000 year old Peki’in Jewish community in Israel.

Peki’in, פקיעין, was established during the Greco-Roman BCE occupation period and lasted until the 1936 Arab settler revolts during the post-WW1 British-Hashemite 🇬🇧🇵🇸 militarized occupation of Israel for their colonial “Mandate for Palestine”.

Peki’in is located in the upper Galilee, and is the longest continuous surviving Jewish community in Israel outside of the village of Carmel כרמל.

She said they lived in the Galilee for 2000 years, which dates back to the Roman era, so her history matches up with the historic data.

We also see this when we look at research that used preserved corpses from the recovered tombs found inside the ruins of Askelon, Megiddo, Sidon, Hazor, etc. which show Palestinians derive ancestry with the Bronze Age Levantines who were buried there.
