When Cain realized this, he was consumed with jealousy, “in the image” of elohim (the gods), and he killed is brother Abel in response to ha’Shem’s desire for barbecue. Because, Cain killed his brother upon the Canaan land of Israel, the land-god of Israel, Y-HWH, was forced to EXILE him to another land-god’s land. Yet – despite the mark of protection that ha’Shem had to place upon Cain for such an egregious sin of undisciplined wrath (something ha’Shem struggles with himself) – Cain was able to do mitzvah (do what is right by others) when married into this other land-god’s people.
If you know this ancient Jewish people’s Canaan indigenous origin story, then you know the outcome already! Cain, despite his “in the image of” human failings, became prosperous and, even, had a city named after him for his lifelong teshuva (“returning”, though he can NEVER return to the land of ha’Shem). Cain was only the first Jewish example that the path of ha’Shem is NOT so easy, but we humans MUST keep trying!
The moral of this Jewish people’s Canaan indigenous origin story is that Cain’s exile from the Jewish people of Canaan, by land-god Y-HWH’s direction, was the ATONEMENT for Cain murdering his brother. Cain would NOT be marrying a Jewish woman to birth Jewish children, since OBVIOUSLY Abel cannot do so being dead by Cain’s hand!
BUT WHAT does THIS have to do with PESACH?! Perhaps it is best to let Indigenous peoples TEACH our origin stories, rather than appropriating our origin stories and re-INTERPRETING them for some universal “theology” agenda? Yes or no? After all, Y-HWH LUVS BARBEQUE and ALSO vegetables. And ha’Shem is a ZIONIST! Just ask the 2nd Temple priests of the Jews, back in the day (many many moons back) in the land of Israel.
