Let’s talk about the hatred that Western Jews and non-Jewish “allies” of Israel have for our Eastern Jewish perspective on present lived planetary-wide human history. After all the tokenizing, slander, and silencing of Indigenous Jews when we outreach to the West, this discussion is WAY overdue!
Israel supporting Haredi and Mizrahi Jews and certain MO Jews are watching in displeasure over the moral-less false equivalency being embraced by many Jews in the American diaspora.

Beinart dominated the conversation, flanked by two additional tokens—Jill Jacobs and Esther Sperber—who, while nominally affirming a two-state solution, appeared invested in circulating antizionist libels and obscuring the central role of antizionist violence.
Ironically, it was Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove—a grounded, principled voice—who was marginalized. In pushing back against Beinart’s vague and unaccountable denunciations of “ethnostates,” Cosgrove articulated a simple but essential stance: the preservation of dignity for Israelis and Palestinians alike. In this distorted setting, that position became the true limit-case.
Beinart was not treated as someone testing the boundaries of the tent, but as a kind of guest of honor—his exaggerated self-reproach and open disrespect toward his Israeli cousins functioning as a mark of moral virtue. Only a warped discourse, operating within a poisoned emotional space, could produce such an outcome.
This distortion persists because antizionism remains invisible as an oppression. The result is not only political confusion, but the erosion of Jewish communal life itself—driving division, disorientation, and, at times, outright pathology.”
