Due to the worldwide influence of Colonial Christianity and Colonial Islam – the worldwide religious settler Colonists, who do so in our appropriated Jewish names – most people of planet Earth 🌍🌎 do NOT know that Jews have a variety of gods, demigods, and strange fantastical creatures within our Judean-orignating ethno-religion. To discover these players in our Torah ancestral writings, our Jewish people’s 🕎🪬 South Asian origin stories, all one has to do is learn how to read our Canaanite Hebrew language.

For example, our Torah speaks about the רפאים refa’im, “giants”, meaning demigods, that once ruled upon the lands of the Canaan nations. They are a version of נפש nefesh, a physical “breathing-creature”, just like humans. In another example, our Torah speaks about the שדים shedim, “demons”, which may or may not have a fully solid form. Then there are creatures like the שרפים serafim, “celestial beings”, that look like flying serpents or like “six-winged humanoids” depending on the Jewish mythology tradition.

This is just a touch of Judaism’s, Judah-people-ism’s, cosmological worldview. Which all native/insular Jews debate about to this very day in our Torah discussions. Let us take a look at the difference between just these three:

The Jewish people’s רפאים refa’im, has two different traditions or meanings within Jewish mythology. Within the Torah, refa’im are “giants”, meaning that they are a Canaan people who are living upon the lands of Canaan that are descendants of a demigod – a human born of a union between an eloah (a “child god” of El and Asherah, hence the plural form “elohim”) and a human woman. Many names of places upon the lands of Canaan are a reference to the refa’im. One famous example of the refa’im is the King of Bashan, Og, whose bed was said to be 9 cubits long (13.5 feet long).

The second רפאים refa’im tradition is derived from the root words that, in our native Canaanite Hebrew language, gives this plural tribal name a direct reference to the inhabitants of שאול‎ she’ol, the “land of the dead” or “underworld”. If the root word is ר-פ-א, then the dead nefesh resting within the ground are “healing” and awaiting reconstitution (the Jewish version of resurrection) so that ha’Shem’s breath-of-life (“soul”) is breathed back into them, allowing them a second experiencing of life on Earth 🌍🌎. If the root word is ר-פ-ה, then the dead nefesh resting within the ground are “weakening”, becoming more “powerless” within the ground. Thus, nefesh within she’ol are fully disconnected from the living world that the nefashot with ha’Shem’s breath-of-life within, “soul”, experience upon the land.

The Jewish people’s שדים shedim, which can be translated as “demons” or “spirits”, are the descendants of serpents in Jewish mythology. In a Jewish legend, Elohim created the shedim on the sixth day of creating – meaning that Elohim started to fashion their bodies, but failed to complete this work because Elohim needed to take a שבת shabbat, a “day-of-resting”. So, as a result, the shedim have the breath-of-life, the Creator’s “soul”, within them, like those of humans and other fully physical breathing-creatures, but lack nefesh, a “body”, to contain them.

A very important note here, שדים shedim, “demons”, are not necessarily “evil”, as the word “demon” means in the Colonial Christian religion. Shedim are more or less the “foreign gods” of other peoples/nations within our Jewish people’s ethno-religion. All the gods, including our national god Y-HWH, are capable of behaving in good and bad ways towards humans. For example, it was the “evil spirit” of ha’Shem that entered King Saul and drove him mad with jealousy over the intimate relationship between his son and heir to the throne, Jonathan, and the Goliath killing sheppard boy David that would replace this king of Israel.

Lastly, the Jewish people’s שרפים serafim, “celestial beings”, are winged serpent creatures with a nasty “burning” bite. As Yeshayahu (Isaiah) describes it, a saraf is a “fiery flying serpent”. So, serafim are winged celestial beings that are sometimes portrayed as having humanoid-like form. Just to be clear, serafim are NOT כרובים cherubim (often mistranslated as “angels”) who are celestial beings with wings for arms and have a humanoid shape – that Y-HWH rides upon between his palace in the skies to and from the land below, and who sometimes sends as a מלאך malach “messenger” of his voice. Nor are serafim the משחית maschit, “destroyer”, that seeks out unprotected nefesh chayah, “living breathing-creatures”, to slaughter them – sometimes at the direct command of ha’Shem himself (Rashi Shemot 12:22).

SINCE one of our Jewish 🕎🪬 origin stories is in the news AGAIN, let us separate historical fiction from historical facts. Jews 🕎🪬 were NOT the first to chant this tale of the gods creating life forms upon the land, then ending all life upon the land in a LOCALIZED sudden flood but, before doing so, saving one family line of every breathing creature through the wise and righteous responsiveness of the Ark riding hero.

The Flood story is a Southwest Asian indigenous PEOPLES’ ✊🏼🪬💪🏼 historical fiction. We Jews just happen to have the best written versions – plural, because there are TWO versions of this story in Torah – of the Flood story in our Canaanite Hebrew language ancestral writings 🕎🪬💪🏼! There are three other versions that precede our – retelling – chanting of this Southwest Asian native origin story. So, seeing that this historical Mesopotamian flood event found its way into local Southwest Asian Indigenous myth, how did we Jews end up with our version?

Thank you for asking “the Jews” (for a change) 🕎🪬💪🏼! In approximately 2000 BCE, Abraham and his nomadic Canaan family – the Hebrew ancestors of the Jewish people – left the Mesopotamia region and returned to the land of Canaan. Abraham was known in the Mesopotamian diaspora as העברי, “the Hebrew”, because their family spoke our Canaanite Hebrew language as their family’s Indigenous language. These returning Jews of Canaan brought with them the Mesopotamian Flood story, and Jews added this “history” lesson into our Canaan indigenous Judean people’s origin stories.

The Sumerians of Mesopotamia were the first to write the story of Ziusudra and the Flood. Ziusudra was the King of Shuruppak, the King of Sumer. According to a Babylonian Akkadian Stella, this Antediluvian king reigned in 2900 BCE, just before the great local flood event. So, King Ziusudra became the hero of the people’s survival. Then, came the 18th-century BCE Akkadian version of this story that is surprisingly similar to the Canaan Jewish 🕎🪬💪🏼 version of human creation, multiplication, elohim regret, attempted genocide by the elohim. BUT, Noach (Noah), finding favor in the eyes of, becomes the instrument of survival from the Flood event.

What is most striking is that in the Jewish 🕎🪬💪🏼 version, Noach’s birth is meant to bring a return of paradise to the parched desert land, by way of the great sudden “Flood” upon the land. Thus, ENDING the curse of drought by the land’s god-King, Y-HWH. In the 18th-century BCE Akkadian version of this Flood story, the Mesopotamian hero this time was the priest Atra-Hasis. Another version has King Ziusudra named as Uta-napishtim, in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Both of these versions attribute the Flood wrath to uncontrolled human multiplication and noise pollution that was disturbing the gods sleep cycles.

Give it to the indigenous Jewish people 🕎🪬 of the Canaan land of Judea Israel, for we know how to write a life changing INDIGENOUS RESISTANCE story 🕎🪬💪🏼! Though the Durupinar formation of Mount Ararat happens to look like a ship and has “clayey materials, marine materials, and seafood”, according to Hurriyet, within the geological formation, and has been put forth as a potential ark resting place for many decades, and has received extensive attention from European Christians hoping to find Noah’s Ark…

Being the Indigenous people of the Canaan land of Israel, the last surviving people of the Canaan indigenous nations, we Jews 🕎🪬💪🏼 don’t need to prove historicity to our Canaan Jewish people’s origin stories. These stories are real because WE Jews keep them alive as a means to continue our unique Indigenous people’s lifeways of language, cultural beliefs and wrestlings with beliefs, and native Judean law system!

Our Jewish people’s 🕎🪬💪🏼 multi-voiced internally conflicting Torah Flood story never said that there was a WORLDWIDE global flooding of the Earth 🌍🌎. It is the northern Aegean-created Christianity that came up with this idea, and has propagated this INTERPRETATION worldwide! And the amount of money, manpower, and resources that these Christians have put into trying to prove a “global” flood event…, OMG!!! Think of ALL the social justice causes for the NON-Christian/Muslim members of European and Arab settler Colonial societies ☪️☭✝️ that these expenditures of time, money, and effort COULD have been focused on!

“The term “Ruth for” (or “Ruth – for”) in IDF communications comes from a military communications protocol originally developed in various military forces around the world, primarily in the British and American armies.

“Ruth” is a word that comes from the English language – “Roger”, which means “I understand” or “I have received the message”. This word was chosen in the global military alphabetic code because the letter “R” (which is the first letter in “Received”) was marked in the word “Roger”.

When the IDF communications protocol was adopted, the word “Roger” was translated into Hebrew as “Ruth”, which became an integral part of military communications in Israel.

The “for” that comes after “Ruth” marks the end of the message and transfers the right to speak to the other party. This allows for clear communication in two-way communication systems where only one party can speak at any given time.”
