Let\u2019s talk about the hatred that Western Jews and non-Jewish \u201callies\u201d of Israel have for our Eastern Jewish perspective on present lived planetary-wide human history. After all the tokenizing, slander, and silencing of Indigenous Jews when we outreach to the West, this discussion is WAY overdue!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel supporting Haredi and Mizrahi Jews and certain MO Jews are watching in displeasure over the moral-less false equivalency being embraced by many Jews in the American diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaac Yerushalmi \u2013 \u201cBeinart and others trample on the lived history of Mizrahi Jews who were forcibly expelled by the very antizionism they work to legitimize. Their entire position relies on the erasure of our voice. History will not judge them kindly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was revealing\u2014yet deeply disturbing\u2014to witness the recent \u201cJewish Tent at a Crossroads\u201d symposium hosted at B\u2019nai Jeshurun in New York. The discourse on display was symptomatic of the confusions, fractures, and moral inversions that arise when a community refuses to name antizionist violence and the antizionist hate movement as a global structure of oppression\u2014one that harms Jews, Israelis, and Palestinians alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stated premise of the event was to examine how wide the Jewish \u201ctent\u201d should be opened to opposing views. Peter Beinart was positioned as the supposed \u201cedge\u201d of that tent: an antizionist token increasingly known for attempting to legitimize the antizionist hate movement as \u201chuman rights,\u201d even as perpetual antizionist war continues to devastate Palestinian lives. This is the same Beinart who recently felt the need to apologize for giving a talk at Tel Aviv University, desperately performing Jewish shame for even speaking to Israelis (as if Israelis were not human), a deeply offensive gesture rooted in anti-Israeli racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet what unfolded was almost the inverse of what the framing suggested: not Beinart as test-case, but as a perverse hero. Beinart dominated the conversation, flanked by two additional tokens\u2014Jill Jacobs and Esther Sperber\u2014who, while nominally affirming a two-state solution, appeared invested in circulating antizionist libels and obscuring the central role of antizionist violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ironically, it was Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove\u2014a grounded, principled voice\u2014who was marginalized. In pushing back against Beinart\u2019s vague and unaccountable denunciations of \u201cethnostates,\u201d Cosgrove articulated a simple but essential stance: the preservation of dignity for Israelis and Palestinians alike. In this distorted setting, that position became the true limit-case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beinart was not treated as someone testing the boundaries of the tent, but as a kind of guest of honor\u2014his exaggerated self-reproach and open disrespect toward his Israeli cousins functioning as a mark of moral virtue. Only a warped discourse, operating within a poisoned emotional space, could produce such an outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This distortion persists because antizionism remains invisible as an oppression. The result is not only political confusion, but the erosion of Jewish communal life itself\u2014driving division, disorientation, and, at times, outright pathology.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an African AMERICAN religious flag. You know, the descendants of chattel slavery that had their Indigenous identity literally stripped from them in body and mind. Hence, their grabbing onto the identities of either Christianity, Islam, or the Jews. Nation of Islam and this particular masjid is NOT an actual threat to anyone. They are no different than the Black Hebrew Israelites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Jews have ZERO problems with the phrase \u201callahu akbar\u201d. What we have a problem with is the MISUSE of this phrase to commit racist violent terrorism upon others. \u201cAllahu akbar\u201d literally means the \u201cGod (of the Jews) is the greatest\u201d! And we Jews SUPPORT this message. SADLY, Mohammed and his followers rejected this message, because we Jews refused to worship colonial created idols \u2013 to accept the Christian and Muslim \u201cprophets\u201d. The Arabic word \u201callah\u201d is derived indirectly through the Jewish Aramaic pronunciation of our Canaanite Hebrew word \u201celoah\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTEXT, it really MATTERS, folks! LET\u2019S HAVE HONEST DISCUSSIONS, not quick fingers to silence Jewish people\u2019s voices!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
