The Jewish people\u2019s Torah has always said that the people\/tribes of Israel had our founding event as a unique indigenous people in the land of Moab. On that day that Moshe spoke to the people of Israel in Moab! And that this was a promise made to our ancestors that came before us by Y-HWH to eventually happen (in Moab).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canaan nation of Moab was located in the southern half of what is now the Hashemite Kingdom \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf8 of Hejaz Arabia\u2019s colonial Jordan \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddef\ud83c\uddf4 upon our Canaan lands. From here, the people of Israel pushed northward and across from the river to the sea, forcing the northern nations of Canaan further northward, wherein the Canaan kingdoms of Israel and Judah were established in self-determining sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abraham was known as ha\u2019Ivri in Mesopotamia, before he and family returned to the lands of Canaan, because his family spoke Ivrit, our Canaanite Hebrew language, as a mother tongue and neighboring Aramaic as a second language. What non-Indigenous academics tend to do is confuse what parts of Torah are historical references and what parts are origin myths about lived history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hence, the idea that ancient Israelis invaded and conquered a foreign land to us. Which is still being pushed by the latest form of antisemitism targeting Jews\/Israelis today, now labeled as antiZionism. Ancient Canaanite peoples, like ancient Native American peoples, struggled in battles over territorial land boundaries. Today, only the Jews remain as the last surviving still intact nation of Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Jews say \u201cland back\u201d, our word for this is \u201cZion\u201d! Hence, the Jewish people\u2019s unrelenting, generational, ever looking for the opportunity act of \u201cZionism\u201d. Is the Jewish peoples Torah influenced by genetic ancestral memories? Let\u2019s test this idea! In order to address this question, we must first understand Torah on its own terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meaning, understanding the inherent Canaan indigenous nature of Torah, outside of the influence of Christianity upon our Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral writings. Unlike the Christian Gospels, wherein the same story is repeated in differing ways from book to book, our Jewish people\u2019s Torah is meant to be chanted and understood as one book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, the scroll of Bereshit (Genesis), Shemot (Exodus), Vayikra (Leviticus), Bamidbar (Numbers), to the Jewish people\u2019s founding constitutional scroll of D\u2019varim (Deuteronomy) is meant to be chanted as one complete (multi-voiced and often contradictory) singular story from beginning to end. SO, TOO, with the sections of origin stories within the scroll of Bereshit (Genesis, \u201cat the beginning of\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is HERE, within the two stories of the Creation of land environments \u2013 the Six Days story followed by the Garden of Eden story \u2013 and the stories of Cain and Abel, of the Tower of Babel, of Noah and the Flood, and of the Table of Nations from Noah\u2019s children that we can address this question of genetic ancestral memory being playing out in Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral writings of our ancient Canaan indigenous origin stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do we mean by this, you ask? Let\u2019s start \u201cat the beginning\u201d\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first creation story is about the shaping of the entire known lands of topsoil, skies, and waters from out of the primordial elements that Elohim\u2019s breath hovers \u201cupon\u201d. This story is our ancient Jewish cosmologist\u2019s written attempt to explain a \u201cBig Bang\u201d theory within his\/her mind about how\/why Life as we know it exists. Within this \u201cat the beginning\u201d story, we are made aware of the elohim (\u201cthe children gods of El\u201d, in all Canaan language dialects) shaping the human species upon the known lands \u201cin our image, male and female\u201d. Then, there is the first Shabbat, \u201cday of resting\u201d from creative labor, as a final form OF creativity, before the new work week of creating begins (Torah, in our Canaanite Hebrew language, 101).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second creation story that follows this first planetary Shabbat is a Levant specific Indigenous people\u2019s story of creation. In this story, the assigned Eloah, Y-HWH (land god for Creator god El), creates an adam (a human nefesh) from the adamah (the topsoil) of his assigned Levant land and places this human into a garden that he now creates upon his land. What purpose did Y-HWH have for doing this? So that the human would \u201cwork\u201d (maintain) and \u201cprotect\u201d this garden of Y-HWH. In this Jewish story of creation, the Creator god brings every shaped from the adamah nefesh species to the adam (the human) for a \u201cname\u201d, but failed to find a species of non-human that is reproductively compatible. Hence, the splitting of adam into Adam ish (male) and Chavah isha (female, Chavah means \u201clifegiver\u201d as in offspring producing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, we here at Jewish Indigenous Rights Advocacy \u2013 JIRA know that some humans not yet successfully colonized by colonial Christianity and colonial Islam have got to be listening! So, WE WILL continue our d\u2019var (our Jewish teaching on Torah)\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children of Adam and Chavah turn out to be Cain and Abel. These children have a difference in understanding about our created world. Cain was a forager for nourishment survival and Abel was a herder of non-human animals that survive by plant nutrition and are food for predatory nefesh, like humans. Cain killed his brother Abel over jealousy that Y-HWH, the ruling land-G-d of the Levant, preferred eating offered meat over offered vegetables. And, HERE, is where the ties to the two stories of parallel creation events first come to meet each other! Cain the forager has to face Y-HWH because his brother\u2019s \u201cblood\u201d cries out to Y-HWH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happens to Cain?!!! ANYONE?!!! Any Jews who are still NOT Christianized, meaning successfully influenced by Christian dominated socially enforced interpretation of our Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral Canaan ancestors\u2019 writings? \u201cAnd Cain went forth from before Y-HWH\u201d who marked him for survival \u201cand he dwelt in the land of the wanderers, to the northeast of Eden.\u201d He intermarried with the people created by this other god\u2019s land and had children. Cain, the Homo Sapiens human, became so prosperous amongst the Homo Neanderthal humans that he not only interbred with, that a city is NAMED after him. The city was named after his son, Enoch, according to Torah. WHO are these people who were NOT created by Y-HWH to \u201cwork\u201d and to \u201cprotect\u201d his garden of Eden that Cain the son of Adam and Chavah found a place amongst?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We KNOW, Christian and Muslim interpretive indoctrination MUST rule this Earth. Even the atheists, the rejectors of Christian and Muslim perceived reality, CANNOT see Indigenous peoples\u2019 worldwide understanding, even into this 21st century CE. Why? Because ALL that they know is European and Arab settler colonialism upon our entire SHARED planet Earth \ud83c\udf0d\ud83c\udf0f\ud83c\udf0e! SO, the human Sapiens are spreading out across the known lands of our shared planet Earth and are interbreeding with the human Neanderthals and human Denisovans for literal physical survival throughout and upon our surprisingly ROUND planet Earth. Turns out, our sacred Levantine stories are THE most accurate to modern human SCIENTIFIC explorations into our human species\u2019 generational lived realities. What comes next? Seeking, as human nefesh, to find creative solutions to life\u2019s existential challenges. BUT, being created human nefesh like all other non-human relative nefesh \u2013 with our inherited such self-serving frail nefesh concerns \u2013 the gods of Creation freak out. So, the elohim in the skies above grow very concerned and seek to divide their human creations from each other \u2013 thus, scattering the tongues of naming and, thus, of common human understanding!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Jews KNOW, this sounds terrible as f-ck!!! BUT, all is NOT lost for our multiple human species blended kind. Just GUESS what happens in our Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral Canaanite Hebrew language Torah\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jump back for a second to the second Levant specific creation story in our Torah and REMEMBER that Y-HWH was so disappointed as a land-G-d parent that his shaped human creation, now split into male and female, ate of the tree of intimate knowledge. So much so that he, in emotional reaction, cursed the Levant land to desert conditions, a land of cursed drought for Homo Sapiens humans. Herein enters the first Jewish people\u2019s mashiach (messiah) that is born to end this plague of drought through saving Homo Sapiens humans \u2013 through Noach (Noah) and his family \u2013 from a sudden flood of catastrophic waters (dangerously frozen lands) that ends this curse of drought in our Jewish people\u2019s origin stories upon Zion, our Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral Canaan land of Israel!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cIce Age\u201d in the Levant refers to a period when the region experienced significant climatic changes, leading to the development of early human societies. This era, particularly during the last ice age, saw the transition from nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyles to settled agricultural communities around 10,000 to 20,000 years ago. Homo Sapiens humans ventured out again from Africa, for a second time into Homo Neanderthal humans\u2019 Europe and Homo Denisovans\u2019 South Asia, interbred with both, and now ONLY homo Sapiens humans exist (because of \u201cWHY\u201d?). Only Jews remain as a Canaan descended people upon our shared planet Earth. THIS is why theology based religions seeking validity in the Jewish people\u2019s sacred ancestral stories HATE the Jewish people so much into this 21st century of Christian established A.D. We Jews embrace scientific understanding of our Creator\u2019s world for us AND question, as our Creator taught and demanded for us as a member of the human species to do, EVERYTHING! They defiled all the oils that were in the Temple that fed the eternal flame of the Creator by touching them. They looted the House of ha\u2019Shem and stole our Jewish people\u2019s indigenous heart and culture! (Shabbat 21b:10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Antiochus the king of the Seleucid Empire had defeated Egypt, he returned and went up against the warriors of Israel and Jerusalem with a great multitude. He proudly entered into the sanctuary, and took away the golden altar, and the oil vessel of light, and all the vessels thereof. He even took away the table of the cakes of bread, and the pouring vessels, and the vials, and the vessels for burning incense, and the veil, and the crown, and the golden ornaments that were before the sacred room of the Creator god, all of which he pulled off and took away with him. (Book of Maccabbees 1 1:22-23)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when the Hasmonean priests rose up with the Pharisees (the proto-rabbis) that backed them to fight back against the Greeks, the Hasmoneans emerged victorious over them, and chased them out of the House of ha\u2019Shem. They found one pot of oil, hidden, that still had the seal of the High Priest upon it, which the Greeks had not touched. And there was sufficient oil there to light the oil vessel for only one day. But a miracle occurred, alleged our Jewish ancestors, for the lit oil burned for eight days, until new sanctified oil could be produced from the land of Israel! The next year the wise elders instituted those days and made them a festival of increasing lights with chants of hallel and special thanksgiving in prayer and blessings. (Shabbat 21b:10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, we LEARN from this history of our people in a mishna with regard to damages: In the case of a spark that emerges from under a hammer, and went out of the artisan\u2019s workshop, and caused damage, the one who struck the hammer is liable. Similarly, in the case of a camel that is laden with flax and it passed through the public domain, and its flax entered into a store, and caught fire from the storekeeper\u2019s lamp, and set fire to the building, the camel owner is liable. Since his flax entered into another\u2019s domain, which he had no permission to enter, all the damages were caused due to his negligence. However, if the storekeeper placed his lamp outside the store and it set fire to the flax, the storekeeper is liable, as he placed the lamp outside his domain where he had no right to place it. (Shabbat 21b:11, Sefaria)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three meanings to this Chanukah festival teaching: One, miracles happen because the spark of life within a single human causes human actions to create a miracle. Two, the fire of an Indigenous people is NOT ever fully able to be quenched. We rise from the ashes of destruction to light the ner tamid yet again for the sake of our ancestral lifeways! Third, we Jews learn from our historic experiences to create new halacha (indigenous Judean-orignating laws) that further increase the light of social justice upon our shared planet Earth \ud83c\udf0d\ud83c\udf0f, for both our human and non-human relatives!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
