The flood story is a Southwest Asia regional event myth, and is NOT to be read as actual history. It most definitely was NOT a worldwide event, like the European Christian appropriators of SWANA Jewish ancestral writings claim it to be. Plus, there are two versions of this story in our Canaanite Hebrew language Torah scroll, and they contradict each other in great detail!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our Judean story, Y-HWH god gets dissatisfied with most of the creatures that he shaped from the soil upon the Levant, so Y-HWH builds an Ark, sends Noah and entire extended family into the Ark, along with seven ritually pure and two ritually impure of each animal species, male and female, and seals the Ark for them. Y-HWH, then, floods his Levant land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our Temple Priests\u2019 version of this story, Elohim god \u201cstars\u201d and decides that he is tired of humanity\u2019s wickedness and violence upon the Southwest Asia and North Africa region. So Elohim dictates in extreme detail that Noah build an Ark to exacting standards, and tells Noah and family to go into the Ark, bringing in with them two of each creatures that have breath, male and female, ritually pure and impure, and enough food for everyone. Elohim floods all of Southwest Asia and North Africa (the known land).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Jews, this is the way our origin stories are supposed to be! Anyone who turns our ancestors\u2019 writings into a singular narrative that allows a proselytizing Colonial theology to be formed from it is NOT speaking for the Jewish people of our Canaan land of Israel, and has the Torah multi-voiced story all wrong! This stanza pleads for the reestablishment of the Temple Worship. It praises G-d as the \u201cstronghold of our salvation,\u201d who has always come to our Jewish people\u2019s aid. Greeks [the original Palestinians (\u05e4\u05dc\u05e9\u05ea\u05d9 Felishti\/Pelishti) and NOW the Arabs, too!] gathered against me, [back] then, in Hasmonean days. They breached the walls of my towers [they invaded] and they defiled all the oils [they set a non-indigenous Imperial\/Colonial god within our sacred Temple and upon our sacred land \u2013 FOR Jews to worship!]; and from the one remnant of the flasks [of oil, symbolic of Indigenous warrior spirit for Indigenous survival] a miracle was wrought for the roses [a reference to Shir ha\u2019Shirim (The Song of Songs), in which the mutual love between G-d and the Jewish People is the main theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUESTION: In what way are the Jewish people analogous to a rose? ANSWER: According to our Midrash, \u201cWhen a rose is among thorns, a north wind goes forth and bends her toward the south and a thorn pricks her, then a south wind goes forth and bends her toward the north and a thorn pricks her; yet, for all that, her core is directed upwards. The same is true with the Jewish people. Although they are oppressed and tortured from all sides by the nations, their hearts are directed towards their Father in Heaven.\u201d \u05de\u05d3\u05e8\u05e9 \u05e8\u05d1\u05d4 \u05d5\u05d9\u05e7\u05e8\u05d0 \u05db\u05d2:\u05d4 ]. Men of insight \u2013 eight days established for song and jubilation [our Indigenous Jewish ancestors created a festival to remind us in EVERY generation of our Judean people\u2019s warrior spirit for SWANA native survival].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This stanza takes us back to Chanukah and describes the spiritual (not to mention physical) attack of the Greeks, under Antioches IV Epiphanes, the Seleucid monarch of Syria, who was the central foe in the Chanukah story. He advocated an intense campaign of Hellenization; that is, the spreading of Greek culture and ideas, and the Jews in Eretz Yisrael who remained loyal to the Torah, became his main targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stanza Six<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bare Your holy arm [Y-HWH who rules the Canaan land of Israel and has created and vassaled the Jewish people of Canaan] and hasten the End for salvation [our self-sovereign decolonization, our Jewish people\u2019s Zionism!] \u2013 AVENGE the vengeance of Your servants\u2019 blood [every Jew that has died defending Israel] from the wicked nation[s] [- do we really NEED to repeat who?!!!]. For the triumph is too long delayed for us [Jews, many who have survived upon and who have returned to our Canaan land of Israel and many who still live in diaspora lands], and there is no end to [these] days of evil! Repel the Red One in the nethermost shadow [bring down the supremacy of the Colonizers!] and establish for us the seven shepherds [a reference to NOT only our national redemption, but also to each Jew\u2019s personal redemption as a living member of the whole \u2013 past and present!].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This stanza asks the Master of the Universe to bare His holy arm and end our longest exile, the exile of Edom, the Red One, and usher in the Epoch of the fully human Jewish warrior Mashiach (\u201canointed leader\u201d) upon our land of Israel AND upon every last still surviving Indigenous peoples\u2019 lands who are still freedom fighting for the liberation of THEIR sacred lands! In other words, peace and security upon our SHARED planet Earth!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
