There is a reason that Jews do not proselytize, like adherents to Colonial Christianity and Colonial Islam. We ourselves do not fully accept post-\u201cMedieval\u201d period monotheism. Such non-pluralistic absoluteness is both antithetical to our Indigenous Jewish culture\u2019s writing traditions and to our most sacred of books \u2013 our TaNaKh and Talmud. The last thing on our Jewish Indigenous minds is the idea that all people worldwide are somehow ultimately \u201cJew\u201d-ish in their religious theology. Which starkly contrasts with the worldwide (almost accepted) Colonial idealism of a \u201cChristian, Muslim, or Jew\u201d successfully colonized world. This anti-Indigenous bias, it is against the fundamental teaching of our Canaan Judean written Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southwest Asia Indigenous peoples share similar beliefs. The Kurds believe that they were created from the sun, hence their continued devotion to sun worshipping. The Jewish scientist and poet, Carl Sagan (\u05e2\u201d\u05d4), taught in the 1980\u2019s: \u201cThe cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.\u201d And with Jews, our ancient Torah teaches the same thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scroll of Bereishit teaches that Elohim (the high god, Elyon) created the orderly land, skies, and waters from the \u201castonishingly\u201d empty and dark watery abyss of land, meaning from his primordial elements. This began with a blast of light, the separation of light from darkness, and the orderly creation of life as we humans know it (Bereishit 1:1-25). The process of this orderly creation has since been modified for Jews through a better scientific understanding of this process of evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From here, Elohim (the minor gods, the \u201cchildren of El\u201d, which includes Y-HWH) created the various humans\/nations upon the portion of land that each minor god was assigned by Elyon. \u201cLet us make humans in our image, after our likeness\u201d, \u201cand Y-HWH formed the human (adam) from the humus (topsoil, adamah)\u201d and breathed the \u201cbreath of life\u201d into the human, so that the human became a \u201cliving breathing-creature\u201d (Bereishit 1:26-28, Bereishit 2:5-8, D\u2019varim 32:8-9 Septuagint\/4QDeuteronomyj).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Elyon assigned inheritance to the nations, when he separated humankind, he established the territories of nations, according to the number of minor gods. Y-HWH\u2019s share is His nation, Jacob is his allotted inheritance. (D\u2019varim 32:8-9)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany Jews of the Second Temple period sought an explanation for the hardships of this world \u2013 whether political or personal, relating to disease, family trouble, sin, war or any other manifestation of evil. They found an opening for such an explanation in emphasizing the idea that the divine realm is in fact populated with multiple beings, not all of them constantly operating in the same direction and for the same motives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While full-fledged monotheism is often at a loss in explaining the existence of evil in the world, Jewish apocalypticism depicts a cosmic drama, wherein multiple forces exert their power and the supreme deity orchestrates the entire scene. This drama helps to explain the persistence of evil in this world\u2026 Many Jews throughout history found that the description of the divine realm as inhabited by one character only is insufficient for their religious needs, and they found ways to add more characters to that realm, whether in the form of angels, divine attributes (\u05de\u05d9\u05d3\u05d5\u05ea), or sephirot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If he\u2019s not here, Y-HWH, then where is our Y-HWH \u201cGod\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Y-HWH in the heavenly palace up in the firmament above, in the skies? If so, then where is he? For we haven\u2019t seen a sighting of Y-HWH riding upon his winged armless Cherub since the \u201cdays of old\u201d. Is Y-HWH\u2019s palace above the blue waters that are above the skies, and Y-HWH is just too old now to travel and visit his land below? Has Y-HWH just plain grown tired of us Jews or all humans in general, like we Jews got about Y-HWH after the European-Arab attempted worldwide Shoah (\u201cHolocaust\u201d) that specifically targeted we Southwest Asia Indigenous Jews for extinction?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or is Y-HWH\u2019s palace directly below the skies\u2019 waters above, and still hidden from our view? As our Canaan Jewish ancestral literatures keep teaching us every single year, hidden amongst the sun, moon, and stars that are under the protective raqia, the \u201chammered covering\u201d that protects like a shield (under the \u201cfirmament\u201d). And is Y-HWH, our land\u2019s god-King, just watching our humanity\u2019s events, refusing to intervene for whatever reasons known only to him?! A fair question to present to all worldwide human beings of this planet Earth, that have experienced the Colonial religions\u2019 interpretive versions of our SWANA Indigenous people\u2019s ancestral literatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel, where is your G-d?! Is Y-HWH forever more in a place where we can no longer see him? Just speaking personally here,\u2026 As an Indigenous Jew, who is very enamored with our Judean people\u2019s origin stories, I fully REJECT this!!! But, if this is actually so \u2013 this \u201cwhere we can no longer physically see \u2018G-d'\u201d \u2013 then why show love for a \u201cGod\u201d who no longer \u201cshows his face\u201d to any humankind? A \u201cGod\u201d who no longer rides the Cherub down to our land and back up again to his palace? OR is Y-HWH in a place where we can still physically see him everyday, but we no longer know HOW to do so in this more modern age? If this is so, then in what structure is Y-HWH?! Where is our Indigenous Judean people\u2019s land god Y-HWH?!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There IS an ANSWER, folks! And this answer IS our Indigenous people\u2019s genuine understanding, full stop! No, Y-HWH is not in the sanctuary, the \u201cTemple\u201d that is now in ruins. Nor is Y-HWH in a synagogue or in the kitchens of our Jewish homes. These are OUR communal places, our sacred grounds, to make Indigenous practice and learning a continual reality for the generations to come. All of this is only an extension of the \u201cstructure\u201d that I\u2019m referring to, directly above. And, no, again! Y-HWH is not in the heavenly palace high up in the skies, any more than here down on Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SO, where is Y-HWH, Indigenous Jews and all non-Jews who are familiar with our ancestral writings, and those who are wondering?! According to our Jewish Torah, when read CORRECTLY in our Canaanite Hebrew language, our Y-HWH is within Elohim, like everything else. Yes, Y-HWH is the Creator of our Canaan people of Israel. And, according to our ancestral literatures, we Jews were created to work and guard eretz yisrael, the \u201cland of Israel\u201d \u2013 which is the land of Y-HWH. Many now call our land the Levant or Southwest Asia. And Colonial Arabs and Europeans call our Jewish land of Israel \u201cPalestine\u201d in devout anti-Indigenous racism. So, nevermind them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s learn Indigenous Torah history, based in our actual Indigenous people\u2019s history upon our land of Canaan Israel, in order to understand why we Indigenous Jews are so resolute in our ways! And why we are the most targeted of Indigenous peoples upon this planet Earth in this 21st century CE, since the inventions of northern Aegean-created Colonial Christianity and southern Hejaz-created Colonial Islam, 1600 years and 1400 years ago, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our very first origin story within our Jewish ancestral scrolls teaches that the breath of Elohim hovered over the chaotic watery land within pure empty darkness. In other words, the breath of the Creator hovered over the primordial elements that davar<\/em> is formed from. Now, the first creative dvarim (words) expressed or thought was \u201clet there be light\u201d. It is from here that orderly dvarim (things) take shape. A land, skies, and waters. Things in the sky, things below the waters. Things upon the lands, to include the created Indigenous peoples of the land (plural on peoples deliberate!) \u2013 with their people\u2019s various land-\u201cGod\u201ds, by which to rule and guide them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, now, if you say that Y-HWH must be, THEN, in our Jewish ancestral scrolls, our books, then you are VERY CLOSE to seeing Y-HWH. Yet, sadly, you are still NOT there, yet, even yourself! Y-HWH exists in our shared DVARIM as Jews, our words and ancestral stories (and modern stories, too!)! Y-HWH is a non-physical word and a physical thing, BOTH at the same time. The entire Indigenous Jewish understanding of this reality that we humans experience is rooted in a singular foundation, the aforementioned \u201cstructure\u201d mentioned above. Israel, where is your G-d?! The word davar<\/em> means both \u201cword\u201d and \u201cphysical thing\u201d, at the same time. Within davar are many endlessly intricate dvarim, the plural extension within the singular addressed here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why \u2013 though our Jewish ancestors\u2019 Torah cannot fully conceive of this in our modern age of human experience within this ever evolving universe \u2013 this is why the Indigenous Jewish people of Canaan have been able to evolve from a polytheistic-thinking people into a monotheistic-thinking people (even into an atheistic-thinking people!) \u2013 WITHOUT ever giving up either of our polytheistic or henotheistic teachings and beliefs that preceded our Jewish people\u2019s present modernity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, by understanding our Indigenous-selves through ALL of these changes with ever evolving TIME \u2013 by adherence to showing \u201clove\u201d for Y-HWH through observance of Indigenous Judean mitzvot\/halachot \u2013 we Jews have maintained a continuous non-stop derech, an Indigenous \u201cpath\u201d upon this planet Earth. We are NOT the ONLY Indigenous peoples to ACHIEVE this incredible fate, BUT we Jews are the first to forcibly decolonize our ancestral land in this CE period of human history (due to our subjugated experience!). AND, we are MOST TARGETED for our refusal to fully assimilate into Colonial Arab-European supremacist possession of this planet Earth \u2013 (for all\u2019s benefit, of course, ASSUMING the privileged are satisfactorily benefitting in result!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A PATH (a \u201cderech\u201d) of words\/things (DVARIM) that keeps us Jews successfully the vassaled Jewish people of the land of Israel (Judea, Samaria, and northern half of Colonial Jordan), the SPEAKERS of the very last language of all Canaan peoples, who are engaged in being a \u201cLIGHT\u201d unto ALL still surviving Indigenous Peoples of this planet Earth entire planet wide! A planet way LARGER than our ANE ancestors could even BEGIN to imagine! We Jews don\u2019t want your \u201cconversion\u201d, rather we want your Indigenous ally-ship with our Indigenous Judean people\u2019s nation! We Jews WANT to save the ENTIRE world, but we MUST learn to save ourselves first, as an extremely targeted Indigenous minority upon this planet Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 1929 Arab settler riots targeting the Indigenous Jews of Israel, the Jews of Gaza were forced to flee the city, and that was the official end of the community, but does that mean that there was no longer a Jewish presence in Gaza? The Jews of the city were mainly Sephardim who were familiar with the Arabic language and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its isolation from other communities, the Jewish community of Gaza was generally a cohesive and unified collective. Former community members recalled different families celebrating Sukkot and Pesach together. Due to their extensive trade relations with the local Bedouin tribes, some of the city\u2019s Jews lived for several months of the year near the tribes, outside the city, and even adopted some of their habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, Jewish men from Gaza used to ride horses and wear a sash with a dagger and a gun. The Jews of Gaza included prominent ancient historical figures such as Nathan of Gaza, a well-known follower of Sabbatai Zevi, and Rabbi Israel Najara, author of the liturgical poem Ya Ribon Olam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
