From Gaza to Iran to the United States, there is a growing effort by marginalized citizens of Colonial nations to equate their struggles for civil rights to the anti-Colonial resistance movements being engaged in by truly marginalized Indigenous peoples. These acts of conflation, the merging of disparate political causes and goals, serve only to erase Indigenous peoples\u2019 voices and our struggles for real independence! Further, it weakens every minority\u2019s fight for social justice, when causes are not kept clearly defined in social narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Anti-Segregationist<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

For example, it was Indigenous Kurdish women and men that initiated the \u201cJin, Jiyan, Azad\u00ee (woman, life, freedom)\u201d revolution, that aroused Islamist Iran into crushing it by mass imprisonments, murders, and ethnic cleansing of Kurds within Iran. Yet, to this very day, the Arab-European world celebrates the claimed resistance of the Iranian women, a highjacking of this Indigenous resistance voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the United States, African Americans have done the same (as the Iranian women) to the Indigenous nations of Michilimackinac, highjacking the anti-Colonial Indigenous resistance movement, while they and their (former) Colonial enslavers experience a privileged social status that is above the Indigenous. In Colonial \u201cAmerica\u201d, the revolution phrase is \u201cdecolonization\u201d and \u201cland back\u201d. Here is a United States example that has been propagated since the 1950\u2019s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, in December 2023, a Harvard University graduate, who has a show on MSNBC (thus a wide and loud social megaphone), said that Medgar Evers was an \u201canti-Colonialist\u201d. No, he was not! Medgar Evers was a 1950\u2019s USA civil rights activist and anti-segregationist. There is a very big difference between oppressed citizens wanting an equal seat at the Colonial social table, and Indigenous peoples of a land seeking a decolonization of their ancestral lands from Colonialism!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pueblo, Lakota, Navajo, Taino, and Anishinaabe are anti-Colonialists. They want to peacefully decolonize within the Colonial United States as fully independent nations. Likewise, Israelis, Kurds, Balochs, Assyrians, and ethnic Persians are anti-Colonialists. They want to peacefully decolonize amongst the Colonial nations of Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and Iran as fully independent nations. Indigenous nations are NOT seeking a seat of equality within the Colonial nations that occupy us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why so many African Americans see themselves in the plight of Arab Palestinians, who are occupying the Gaza and \u201cWest Bank\u201d parts of our 1948 forcibly decolonized Israel and parts of Kurdistan. The non-citizen Arab Palestinian (post-1948 land-squatters) are seeking an equal seat of civil rights in an Indigenous Judean people\u2019s nation, so that they can usurp this Israeli nation\u2019s decolonized independence (iows, turn it into an Arab nation!). An independence that Jews, Druze, Bedouin, and Israeli Arabs fought so hard for over near two decades to achieve against post-WW1 Arab settler Colonialism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arabs, Turks, Iranians, and African Americans, please STOP conflating your Colonial civil rights issues with Indigenous resistance issues! Please, stop equating marginalized Colonial citizens to Indigenous Peoples. This disrespects and marginalizes our Indigenous nations\u2019 anti-Colonial resistance! We Michilimackinac and SWANA Indigenous peoples are TIRED of not being heard by Colonial \u201cAmericans\u201d, \u201cPalestinians\u201d, Turks, and Iranians! NEVER AGAIN, will there be violently racist Arab-European settler Colonialism upon this planet Earth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arab \u201cPalestinians\u201d are post-1948 land-squatters to deny Indigenous Israelis \u2013 Jews, Druze, Bedouins, and Israeli Arabs \u2013 a peaceful decolonization amongst the post-WW1 British-Arab militarized occupiers of our SWANA Indigenous people\u2019s land. The European nations did NOT create Israel for Jews!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was MENA Jews that freedom fought against the violently racist British-Arab occupiers of our land for near two decades \u2013 for the liberation of Israel from British-Arab militarized occupation. We won our Independence in 1948. As a punishment, 5 surrounding Arab armies waged a 10 month siege upon Israel to re-conquest her for Arab rule. They call this period a \u201cnakba\u201d, because the Arabs lost this war, displaced half of the Arabs that had settled post-WW1, and were only able to occupy Gaza and what Jordan named the \u201cWest Bank\u201d for 18+ years. Israel liberated the Egyptian and Jordanian occupied areas in 1967, but we are still Arab \u201cPalestinian\u201d settler occupied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only Apartheid in the land of Israel is the Islamic Apartheid that is keeping Indigenous Jews away from the Colonial Arab Al-Aqsa \u201cMount Rushmore\u201d mosque sitting upon the most sacred area of Jewish land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagine if on Oct 8th, 2023, the United Nations Security Council voted unanimously to condemn Hamas for war crimes \u2013 for crimes against Indigenous humanity \u2013 demanded the immediate return of all hostages, and ordered Qatar to extradite Hamas leadership to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where they could have been tried for War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity, and Genocide. Had this occurred, think how many people in Gaza would be alive today!!! \u2026 Now ask yourself: Why is it that this didn\u2019t happen?!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
